Lanna care for Animals was started in Feb 2006, so in its 10th year. We are now registered with the Thai government in Chiang Mai as a non-profit and allowed to ask for and receive donations as follows: Any type of currency by check or wire (details upon request), any type of construction material, all meds needed for dogs & cats including tick/flea repellents, dog & cat food, leashes, collars, etc.

We also welcome visitors by appointment & we are one of the top shelters & homes for animals in Thailand, No Kill, and active in conservation for our wild animals friends. Come visit us and also take a nature walk in the conservation land behind the LCA shelter & home for animals.

We need volunteers to socialize with our friendly dogs & cats who want more attention from people. As of Dec 12, 2015 we had 131 dogs + cats.

We also feed and help dogs & cats that are owned by poor village people so they can take better care of their animals.

And we are active in getting dogs & cats sterilized to help reduce the numbers of unwanted animals & have a good working relationship with Care for Dogs Foundation & World Veterinary Society, located not far from us.
